The 12-13th century Romanesque church of Saint-Matthieu was originally a watchtower with thick stone walls and bare facades. The inside decoration was completed in 1986: a luminous rose window of the master glassmaker Alain Creunier was added, also statues in walnut wood by Gérard Aulniac. The very original Way of the Cross is from the painter Gérald Garand from Tours who for each different station representing the Christ' passion has a house of the village in the background. In 2008 a work of restoration of the soil- extraction, restoration and level of the ancient stones of the choir, creation of the floor of the nave in stones of Thenon - and a portal in solid oak.
